"Bridging together the Eagle and the Condor for Indigenous Knowledge in Education"
This workshop, will work around the definition of Indigenous Knowledge understood by Indigenous people of the world which countries were dominated and conquer by the English Empire, but also by the Spanish Empire. Usually Indigenous people of Latin America work together in different educational projects, while Indigenous people in Canada, United States, Australia and New Zeland collaborate in different academic projects and papers. However, there are only few efforts that birng together those journeys, because of language differences. In this workshop, we will present how two educational projects are experienced by students while basing education in the Indigenous Knowledge of Ayuujk and Maya people.
